Fall Philanthropy

Our main philanthropy during the Fall semester is Watermelon Bust. This amazing event consists of Olympic style games that other clubs and organizations on campus participate in. The games consist of watermelon toss, watermelon eating contest, tug of war, and the last event is an obstacle course. The obstacle course consists of crazy events that eventually end with a crazy dive into a water pit filled with watermelons. There is a revolving trophy that travels from winner to winner. This event usually brings in $1,500 to the local group The Notables.

Our next event in the fall semester is the canned food drive. Our chapter nationally collects canned food every year on November 3rd. We collect these cans to donate them to families that are in need of food during the holidays. Nationally we collect millions of pounds of food. We on average contribute two to three thousands pounds of food each year during this event. We are normally seen out tabling at the local groceries stores for cans. We also get great support from the other Greek houses on campus.
